If you were following me last year, you know if was a bad year for me health-wise, so I missed out on a lot of releases. After joining the Twilight Force Discord, it was only fair I gave Dawn of the Dragonstar a proper listen and review.
Now, where can I find a dragon to ride across green valleys and mountain ranges???
At times like these, we need some escapism in our lives, and HUMAN :||: Nature provides just that. I eagerly await what Tuomas can conjure up for the next instalment of Nightwish’s musical journey.
It makes me want to buy some Spandex pants, leg warmers, back comb my hair and combine all that with some Doc Martens and a leather jacket. That is the only way I can think that would accurately depict the feel of this album.
If you love the folk melodies in metal, this is a pure, stripped down version and it is every bit as beautiful you would expect.
